Betty White on SNL

You have watched last week’s Saturday Night Live on DISH Network for sure! So, how did you like Betty White as host of the show? The 88-year old Betty White made her much-awaited and much-hyped debut on Saturday Night Live. It was not a disappointment for the viewers! In fact, the show has got the best rating of the year after Betty made her presence on the show.

Some of the highlights of the show included the death metal version of the Golden Girls theme song. Betty’s ability to share fun with everyone sometimes turns out to be a little raunchy and so is Betty’s role as a muffin chef on NPR.

Along with Betty the show’s special episode for Mother’s Day brought back some of the most famous female casts of the show on DISH Network. Rachel Dratch, Molly Shannon, Ana Gasteyer, Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler all are invited to the show.

Fans of Betty thanked her on Facebook for her appearance on the Saturday Night Live show on DISH TV. It was her fans that ran a campaign on the social media site to bring Betty as the host of the show. Betty had said that she had not heard about Facebook before and she further said, “and now that I do know what it is, I have to say it sounds like a huge waste of time.”

But her appearance on the DISH Network show was not a waste of time for sure since it has brought the highest rating for SNL in 18 months.

Catch Season Premier of Friday Night Lights on DISH Network

Tuesday, May 11th, 2010

‘Friday Night Lights’ debuts it’s forth season on NBC tonight. When you’ll catch this popular show on your DISH Network this time, you’ll know your favorite show has regained its footing once again! With the season premiere tonight, you can again catch the most endearing intergenerational and cross-cultural drama on your satellite TV. The series has an artful vision of Texas life with every detail of a high school’s microcosm. You can follow every detail of its young love and lust, racial tensions and the power of the American dream.

No doubt, the second season of the show was a bust. When Landry and Tyra was sneaking around it turned out to be a murder mystery and lost much of its originality. After a successful and sensational first season it was time when many of the viewers felt like turning out when the action unfolded on DISH Network

As the season opens, it will be a bit different story. Dillon is now a divided town. Thanks to restrictions, students are split between the east side high school and the west side high school. Mostly the minority and poor students are on the east-side high school and the more affluent students are on the west side high school. The series opens when the new coach Eric Taylor is trying hard to resurrect the football once among the badly hit unfortunate students of East Dillon High School. It’s a job that none on his family and friends had expected him to accept. Can he resurrect the football in the school? Can he build a successful team? Can he bring the team to the winning touch? Find answers to all these questions on the show on your DISH Network. Choose your favorite DISH Network package NOW!

Take a Sneak Peek at ‘The Office’ on DISH Network

Saturday, May 1st, 2010

‘The Office’ on Thursday was quite up to its absurd tricks with Michael Scott tried hand at love. On the DISH Network show, office manager Scott almost sabotaged Jim’s and Pam’s joint sale venture only to flirt with a potential client.

The expected client was a lady bar manager with the name Donna. Michael went up to absurd to get her attention. The situation really turned funny when he showed slide show presentation to his potential client with photos of him combined with photos of some male models. The imprudent manager even pulled the trigger on the sale which could have resulted in the loss of company money just because he wanted to flirt!

His romantic venture even took to fight between Jim and Pam. Jim wanted his boss to stop with his romantic escapade when Pam wanted him to go on with flirting with the potential client. But at the end of it, he had some good time when he and Donna shared a kiss at the parking lot. The good moment for him came after he had chased her to give back the barrette that she had left behind.

The episode subplot was also interesting on your DISH Network channel. In the subplot Dwight wanted Kelly to apply for the entrance into an executive program. His actual wish was to manipulate her once she got to a position of power. But the thing was completely turned aside when she actually got accepted for the program but he was put on Kelly’s bad side.
